Stormy Miller, IBCLC
International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant
Superpower: Finding success through overcoming breastfeeding struggles.
Stormy Miller is an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) with over five years’ experience helping breastfeeding families. The countless challenges she experienced while breastfeeding her two children sparked an interest in her to help others; those challenges include oversupply, severe nipple pain and trauma, vasospasms, tongue ties, thrush, latch issues, weak/dysfunctional suck, insufficient transfer to milk, utilizing a Supplemental Nursing System (SNS) with expressed breastmilk and more. She has breastfed around six years between her two children. Her personal experience gives her a unique perspective helping breastfeeding families, offering empathy and support. As a working mom, she understands what it takes to juggle breastfeeding, pumping at work, balancing bottle and breast while being away from baby, and family responsibilities. She pumped at work until 18 months while working full time with each of her children. She wants to pay it forward and help other breastfeeding mothers with balancing breastfeeding/pumping and working.
She co-founded her local chapter of Breastfeeding USA and has been volunteering locally as a Breastfeeding Counselor. She also has volunteered nationally with the organization in Volunteer Services, Membership and Candidate Support.
Stormy received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida in Animal Science with a minor in Agribusiness Management and Sales. Stormy lives in Florida and is the proud mother of two spirited boys, ages 6 and 2. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her family, baking, photography and horseback riding.
