As a national speaker, author, veteran, personal growth trainer and resilience coach, Dr. Ja’net Bishop is on a mission to transform women’s lives.
As the Founder and CEO of Boots to Breakthrough LLC, Dr. Bishop’s coaching, speaking, and workshops elevate purpose-driven women to achieve personal and professional success. As a wife, mother, experienced school principal and school counselor, she is familiar with transitions and redesigning your life to fulfill your goals.
She has been featured in SKIRT Magazine, Focus on Fabulous Magazine, and the Columbia County News Times (Georgia). She authored How Much Joy is in Your Journey? A Creative Guide to Your Fearless Vision and is also a contributing author in If She Can, an anthology devoted to resilient women. She was awarded a SCORE Veterans Grant and was recognized in 2017 by the McCormick Chamber of Commerce, as a “Keeper of the Flame.”
Her passion for helping others goes far beyond her professional life. She serves on multiple boards including the National Alternative Education Association, The Vantage Point Foundation, YMCA-Cane Bay, and is a commissioner on the Commission for Affordable Housing and Homelessness (Charleston SC). She also facilitates Resiliency Workshops for the RedCross to move others through personal hardship.
Dr. Bishop and her late husband William share two beautiful sons. A native New Yorker, she currently resides in Summerville, SC.
