At the end of March 2020, the President signed into law the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (“CARES Act”), the third piece of legislation in recent weeks designed to address the COVID-19 emergency. In this guide, learn more about the CARES Act, which provides emergency aid directly to individuals and relief to businesses through a series of loans, grants, and tax credits.
